Evaluation of User Interaction with In-Vehicle Systems - A Graph-Based Exploratory Literature Review Method Focused on Data Connections
This project describes a literature review, which arised during my dissertation. During the work on this project i set up a graph database with metadata and information on 228 selected out of 4,864 research articles. The exploratory approach in this project uses a graph database structure to investigate connections between authors, papers, used methods, investigated displays and involved publication sources. The used graph database platform neo4j allows to query the developed dataset wile focusing on connections between the captured data.
Master thesis: “Konzeption und Implementierung eines Informationssystems zur explorativen Melodieanalyse”
This work describes the conception and implementation of an information system for explorative melody analysis. The object of investigation consists of resources for folk music research from the Regensburger Liedblattsammlung. Through the possibilities of machine processing of musical pieces a web-based access to the digital indexed songsheets is created. Therefore, techniques from the area of music information retrieval, in particular the melodic similarity, are used in order to be able to search the inventory for melodic pa erns. The connection to the already digitally edited lyrics and meta information of the songsheets also offers the possibility to search the collection for a variety of parameters, as well as words or phrases within the lyrics.
The project presents a toolbox for operations with proprietary musicJSON.
Main features involve generating notes, intervals or parsons code, the creation of ngrams and calculating edit-distance.
The project presents a converter from proprietary musicJSON to abc notation.
The project is about a custom Content-Management-System for a rockband website. The frontend is implemented in AngularJS with custom directives, to fetch necessary content from the webserver. The backend is based on Laravel 5 and strongly interconnected with social media platforms like Facebook and Soundcloud.

Collaborative Tabletop Music Search
The project outlines a concept for a music streaming client on a multitouch table. My tasks where to create frontend components, handle music streaming and connect to the Spotify API.

The project showcases a toolbox of the Web Audio API in a playful way. The user can combine multiple instruments and effects to create a unique sound. My job was the implementation of virtual turntables, a virtual record box as well as designing parts of the frontend.
